CAOS 2023:Editor's Preface

About the volume:

This volume contains the papers presented at CAOS 2023: The 22nd Annual Meeting of the International Society for Computer Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery held on June 7-10, 2023 in Pattaya.

There were 86 submissions and each was reviewed by three program committee members, one of whom was clinical and two with a technical background. The committee decided to accept 56 papers for podium presentation and 25 for poster presentation. Authors of 51 of these opted into this open access proceedings volume.

About the conference:

In 2023, the International Society for Computer-Assisted Orthopaedic Surgery (CAOS) built on the success of our return to in-person meetings at the CAOS 2022 meeting through an exciting program at CAOS 2023 in Pattaya, Thailand. In addition to the Society's traditional strengths in the development and discussion of navigation and robotics technologies, this year's meeting strengthen our burgeoning expertise in emerging, broad CAOS domains including novel sensors, software, advanced planning, and clinical workflows, to name a few.
