Analysis and Design of the Web Portal of Faculty 4

Abstract

Web portals are an important aspect in the daily life of students and professionals. Its main objective is to provide users with access to different resources or services on the World Wide Web (WWW). These accesses handle related or diverse topics, thus offering a wide range of content that may be of interest to the Internet user. Faculty 4 of the University of Informatics Sciences needs a portal that manages information in a better way and shows the main activities that are carried out in it, with a positive impact on the improvement of students and workers of the university. The objective of this work is to carry out the analysis and design of the web portal of Faculty 4 taking into account the feasibility study, the acquisition and analysis of functional and non-functional requirements, and the black box and white box test methods. For this, the AUP-UCI software development methodology was used, framing the requirements in scenario 4. In this way, the design of a web portal was obtained, which constitutes a fundamental step for the implementation of the system and its subsequent maintenance.
