It is our pleasure to invite you to SRC7SS in 2025. The scientific seminar is focused on the scientific view of the progress and results of Europe’s Rail research and innovation. Extended Abstracts and Posters will be accepted. This 7th edition is organized by DLR.
Submission Guidelines
We encourage submission of extended abstracts (see template and AU_TS_SRC5SS example). All contributions shall include results obtained from the Europe’s Rail or related projects:
- Full contributions reporting on results, tests or demonstrations coming from projects of Europe's Rail innovation Pillar or System Pillar or other related projects. Contribution are expected to cover between 5 and 12 pages in the template.
- PHD contributions discussing results, methods or approaches from PHD projects related to the rail innovation and development related to Europe's Rail projects. Contribution are expected to cover between 5 and 12 pages in the template.
- Posters presenting any related results to Europe's Rail as e.g. related to infrastructures, which were used and associations or networks which are active in this context. A short abstract of 1 page is expected. The posters need to be prepared for the SRC7SS

The SRC7SS is covering all aspects of the rail system covered in Europe's rail innovation pillar, system pillar and exploratory research as e.g.:
- Traffic Management, Planning, Simulation and Optimisation.
- Procedures, Technologies and Systems for digital and automatic train control and rail operation on main lines as well as on regional lines.
- Solutions and sytems for asset supervision and maintenance.
- Apporaches for propulsion, noise reduction and aerodynamics.
- Solutions for fully digital freigth train operation as well as seamless freight train operation as e.g. related to the digital automatic coupler (DAC) or the self-propelled freigth waggon.
- Concepts, technologies and methods for innovative regional trains.
- Concepts, ideas and methods for innovative approaches for railways as e.g. pod-based vehicles, maglev-derived systems or Hyperloop-related contributions.
Review Process and Proceedings
A peer review will be applied before acceptance in order to ensure a high quality of the contributions.
The proceedings will be published in the scientific report series of the DLR as well as digital as PDF. It will provice an ISSN and DOI.
